Canyon News started in 2004 in the writing room of Orson Welles 1940 Hollywood Hills’ Estate and published at the local 24 hours Fed Ex Kinkos on Sunset Blvd. Our founder was a young student who didn’t even know the history behind Orson Welles, let alone his vicious battle with Hearst Newspaper, had an innate love for the 30s and 40s, even emulating the newspapers after a 1933 Daily Newspaper.
Many years later, after we’d already established a strong opposition to our biased, competitors who publish according to their personal political agendas, did we discover the greatest film of all time, Citizen Kane, starring Orson Welles and Joseph Cotton.
The shocking revelation that a movie was written more than 7 decades before detailing the plans for Canyon News was enough to make us feel that Orson Welles lives on.
