Island Ice Cream and Treats has been open since the summer of 2011 right across the street from the white sandy beaches in Gulf Shores, Alabama! We proudly serve Hershey's Ice Cream. With over 100 years of experience, Hershey’s® Ice Cream has learned how to make top quality, REAL, ice cream products. The Hershey Creamery Company was founded in 1894 by Jacob and his four brothers, Isaac, Paris, Ephraim, and Eli Hershey (no relation to Milton S. Hershey of the Hershey Company). Since 1894, Hershey’s® has striven to “guarantee quality products, provide excellent service, establish competitive prices, and provide a true value to the customer.” Hershey’s® Ice Cream makes all of the mixes from fresh, wholesome ingredients. Fresh cream and fresh condensed milk is delivered to the plant on a daily basis! To ensure quality Hershey's uses pure vanilla extract, and the highest quality of cocoa available anywhere. The fruit flavors are made from hand-picked, fresh-frozen fruits. Hershey's uses high grades of almonds, pecans, and walnuts. Hershey's is also one of the few manufacturers that roasts nuts in their own plant, that guarantees freshness and quality! That's why it's premium. That's why it's real!
